Abstract
The article touches upon the issues of indigenous rights and interests established in the Constitution of Russia in 1993. The author pays particular attention to the right of indigenous peoples to lands and natural resources. The federal and regional legislation is analysed in order to show the lack of legal mechanisms in the implication of constitutional provisions.
